The Farm

Provenance is important to us at Renaissance Pubs.

We really care about where our produce comes from, so in 2010 we teamed up with our favourite farmer, Jamie at Locks Drove Farm in Hampshire, to produce the finest, free-range meat.

The Renaissance side of the farm has grown slowly but steadily. Three years on all our chickens come from Jamie. They freely roam the fields by day before spending the night in mobile sheds on fresh grass and hay. We have a mix of Gloucester Old Spot and Saddleback Cross pigs that live in a two and a half acre wood and enjoy a diet of surplus Abel and Cole organic fruit and vegetables. We’ve also started breeding our own lambs.

In addition we have a pampered little herd of Belted Galloways and Dexters in nearby Berkshire and we’re looking forward to them becoming a more substantial element to our farm.
